You’d think a traditional Hawaiian breakfast would consist of lots of fresh fruit. But the most popular local breakfast is Loco Moco, a mix of rice, eggs and hamburger or sausage. Ingredients:
- One package prepared pancake mix (Hula Girl, Aloha Sunset & Mulvadi are Maui favorites)
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Bananas
- Coconut Syrup
- Butter
Directions:
- Clean and slice strawberries, wash blueberries and slice bananas. Set aside.
- Prepare the pancakes according to the package instructions.
- Top pancakes with butter, coconut syrup and fresh fruit.
